SPM Course 2008 at Zurich

27 – 29 FEBRUARY 2008

This three-day course, which is held annually since 2007, offers a comprehensive coverage of all MRI-related aspects of SPM, including

  • spatial preprocessing and voxel-based morphometry
  • statistical analysis of fMRI data with the General Linear Model
  • new Bayesian analysis methods
  • effective connectivity analysis with Dynamic Causal Modeling for fMRI

The faculty includes

  • Guillaume Flandin (FIL, London)
  • Meike Grol (FC Donders Institute, Nijmegen)
  • Will Penny (FIL, London)
  • Ged Ridgway (UCL, London)
  • Christian Ruff (FIL, London)
  • Klaas Enno Stephan (FIL, London)

Particular features of this course

  • coverage of cutting-edge analysis tools in SPM5
  • two practical and user-driven sessions (3h each) in small groups at the computer
  • all presentations are generously timed, allowing for plenty of questions and in-depth discussions
  • regular coffee breaks between talks and a farewell party - to allow for a maximum of interactions amongst participants and faculty

Topics

  1. Single subject analysis of blocked and event-related fMRI data
  2. Group analysis of event-related fMRI data
  3. Bayesian analyses of fMRI data in SPM
  4. Batch programming for single subject analysis of fMRI data
  5. Voxel-based morphometry
  6. Dynamic Causal Modelling

Coffee break approx. from 16:30-16:45, depending on group dynamics

REGISTRATION FOR THE SPM COURSE 2008

In order to ensure small group sizes for the practical sessions, a maximum of 40 participants will be accepted for this course on a first-come, first-served basis. The course fee is CHF 600 (approx. € 360 or GBP 250).

Sorry, we're fully booked. Please send an email to the course administrator, Ms Marina Patzen, Email: mpatzen@iew.uzh.ch, if you would like to be informed about the next course that will be held in 2009.

We look forward to welcoming you at Zurich!
